Farmers are invited to a snail farming training that will take place on December 21st at the Snail Farm, Karen, Nairobi, Kenya.

Those attending will learn more about snail farming in Kenya, the value addition opportunities and how to rear them at home and the markets available.

The benefits of eating snails include a good source of magnesium which our bodies need to maintain normal blood pressure, strengthen bones and also keep the heartbeat regular.

Besides snails as a source of food, they are also reared for snail slime for acne.

Snail slime promotes skin regeneration and overall, it helps to condition skin, improving the texture and appearance of wrinkles. It can also help to prevent acne breakouts and reduce the appearance of acne scars.

Common Garden snail (Helix aspersa) portrait, is the type of snails that thrives well in colder areas like Limuru, for farmers from colder areas, which they sell.
They will also be showing the Giant African Land snail. From the training, you will learn snail farming
